A CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT CHECKLIST

THE BEST WAY TO REACH THE FINISH LINE IS TO HAVE THE RIGHT TOOLS, THE RIGHT STRATEGY, AND A GREAT PARTNERSHIP!

Making your event a celebrated success is our goal.  So we’ve created the following checklist to make sure that together — we get a strategic start toward providing the best program possible for your group.  (We will send a copy of this checklist to you as soon as your event is booked.)

Your help is truly appreciated; Contact Us if you have any questions.

Please send us any information that will help increase Steven’s knowledge of your organization, its people, and challenges.   You can send product brochures, company magazines or newsletters, blog posts, or videos.  If possible, send a copy of a program from previous events and a copy of your upcoming event.

HERE ARE THE THINGS YOU’LL WANT TO KNOW:

Handouts

We will be sending you high-quality, full color, notecards for each member of the audience.  These are valuable, take-home resources they can use to enhance their learning experience and to increase their success in their personal and professional lives.  These are not sales or marketing brochures.  We ask that you make these available by placing these on their chairs/tables.

Lectern

Steven does not speak from a lectern.  The presentation is interactive in nature, therefore a cleared stage is a priority.  It is not unusual for Steven to have audience members join him on stage.  If you do need to have a lectern available for other parts of your program, please have it set to the side of the stage during Steven’s program.

Platform

Audience members always have a more positive experience when they can see what is taking place during the presentation.  If your group size is 200 or more, it would be helpful to have a raised platform (12 to 18 inches high) to make the experience more visible.  A set of steps placed at the front of the stage will be helpful (if possible).

Steven does request a small table at the front of the room or on the stage.

Microphone  and  Audio/Visuals

Steven prefers to use a wireless lav or a Countryman mic.  This will allow him to move around freely and to interact with your group.

Steven uses Apple Keynote and will bring his own Mac laptop and have your AV team pair it.

Audio connection for a laptop to your sound system. He will cue his own slides with a handheld remote.

If possible, screens should be off to the side(s) rather than upstage center.

Brief rehearsal/sound check with Steven to verify sound quality.

Keynote Presentations: Lighting

Steven does prefer house lights up to be able to see his audience while speaking but understands that in certain situations you may have different objectives and he is very easy going with your plans.

Head Table

If a head table is on the stage, please have it set far enough back so Steven can work in front of the table. Please reserve seats in the audience for the people at the head table so they can enjoy the presentation as well.

Hotel and Travel Arrangements

Hotel room reservations (non-smoking), preferably at the same hotel where the meeting is to be held, are to be secured by you, the client, guaranteed for late arrival, and should be billed directly to your organization. Steven Iwersen will be responsible for travel arrangements, non-refundable, (non-stop, when possible) coach fare, round-trip from Kansas City, MO.

Ground Transportation

Please arrange ground transportation (to and from the airport) and let our office know who will be meeting Steven.  Please notify us if it is your desire to have Steven arrange for a car service (ie. Uber) or a rental car.

Payment of Fee

Per the agreement, please remember that the entire fee is due on-site, immediately following Steven Iwersen’s presentation.  If you have chosen the “all-inclusive” package there will NOT be an invoice for travel.  Otherwise, an invoice (with the exception of jobs through a speakers’ bureau), including travel expenses and per diem, will be mailed prior to the engagement.

Please remember: Audio or video recording of the presentation, in part or whole, by the client for private or other distribution is permitted but must be agreed to as a part of OUR AGREEMENT before the event.

THERE YOU GO –  SCAN DOWN THAT LIST AND PLACE A CHECK MARK BY EACH ONE.  RELAX AND LEAVE EVERYTHING ELSE UP TO STEVEN.

Again, please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns regarding these requests.  Thank you!  913-406-3824
